August Focus on Hazardous Trees! Aug 16, 2014
Volunteers in the Trees and Public Gardens Committee are giving “Trees in Danger” special attention this month. In cooperation with the District, and under the technical supervision of experts from the Horticulture Research Institute, the team surveyed some of Zamalek’s dangerously overgrown and/or leaning trees, starting with those reported by residents. The team is currently inspecting those trees, and determining the necessary actions to be taken. Priority is given to trees located on school streets, which are difficult to work in during the school year due to heavy traffic.
The Association’s regular tree trimming and maintenance program is scheduled to resume in September.
